But you never need to pay full rate when we have so many Discounts Available! MvCaTs delivers BMW performance at a Volkswagen price. To put our rates in perspective, let's extend the metaphor. Consider the hourly labor rate for an ASE certified mechanic at your local auto dealership. That rate is probably not far below our discounted remote rate. And if you reside in a high cost of living area, you may pay even more per hour to have your vehicle serviced than you would to have us service your software! RATE DISCOUNTS New Clients receive a 10% Rate Discount off the first 100 billable hours. And the initial New Client Consultation is Free. The New Client Discount is good for 90 days from the date when you sign your first Service Authorization. So be sure to take full advantage of this $1,050.00 value! During this introductory period, we encourage you to evaluate the many Long-Term Discount Contracts available so you can lock in an ongoing discount and waive the Retainer Requirement (see table on Guarantee page). We can tailor an agreement to suit both your needs and your budget. And once you are an established Client, you can refer a New Client and receive a 5% Referral Discount off your next 50 billable hours (after they have completed and paid for 50 billable service hours). This cannot be combined with other discounts. The more billable work you give us per month, the less it costs you per hour. "A-la-carte" Clients have no Long-Term Agreement in place and no other discounts in effect. But they can earn Volume Discount Incentives for any month in which we bill 25 hours or more (if their account is current). 100+ hours earn a 4% Discount; 75-99 hours earn a 3% Discount; 50-74 hours earn a 2% Discount; 25-49 hours earn a 1% Discount. This Discount is applied automatically to the Time Billing Statement for the month in which it was earned. It cannot be combined with other discounts. SOFTWARE MAINTENANCE AGREEMENTS You may be running a small business without a staff programmer and doing your own system administration on a shoestring budget. We are continually amazed at what some folks can do with duct tape and rubber bands. Or you may be relying on a "Lone Wolf" programmer for MultiValue / PICK software support and asking yourself, "What happens to us if something happens to you?" You may even be that "Lone Wolf", whether full-time or a "contract player", concerned about your position and the company if something happens which would require you to take time off. LONG-TERM vs A-LA-CARTE Long-Term Agreement Clients provide MvCaTs with recurring receivables. We say Thank You by providing graduated discounts off our full Remote Rate. The terms of the chosen Agreement govern that rate on all Service Authorizations signed while the Agreement is in effect. In addition, we waive the Retainer Requirement (see table on Guarantee page). This means work can begin as soon as requested because there is no "jet lag" while we wait to receive the Retainer. "A-la-carte" Clients have no Long-Term Agreement in place. Once their 10% New Client Discount is used up or expires after 90 days, any Service Authorization they sign will be governed by our full Remote Rate. And they are subject to our Retainer Requirement (see table on Guarantee page). This means work cannot begin until we receive the Retainer. But they qualify for Volume Discounts equal to 1% for every 25 Billable Hours of Service worked in a month, up to a total of 4% for 100+ Hours. OTHER PERCS There is No Minimum Billing Requirement. We bill only for the time it takes to get the job done right. Our Smallest Billing Unit is 6 minutes, not 15 minutes like many companies. We bill in .10 hour increments. For example, if it takes 31 minutes to complete a service, we bill for 36 minutes, not 45. And here is More Good News: the price of the Source Code is already factored into our rates. In other words, once the software we produce is approved and activated, the Source Code copy on the system belongs to the Client. We won't hold your active Source Code hostage in an offsite escrow account. And we won't set a timer to deactivate your Source Code after a predetermined amount of time has passed. And we won't encrypt active Source Code on your system. Click here to view our Travel Policy Before committing to a Full Service Quote, some New Clients request a Software Preview. The sample quote (below) includes the following: 1) 1 hour of System Technical Support to establish a secure avenue for remote access; 2) 2 hours of Software Consultation with an MvCaTs Manager for a guided tour of your concerns; 3) 4 hours of independent Software and Database Evaluation; 4) 1 hour of Software Documentation regarding our findings; and 5) 1 hour of New Client Consultation at no charge. The cost of this quote is equivalent to 9 billable hours at a 20% Rate Discount. (If you have more than one system or multiple accounts to be previewed, we would adjust the quoted hours as needed.) There are 3 Distinct Advantages to performing a Software Preview: Advantage #1) it contains all the first steps normally included in a Full Service Quote so the Client would not be incurring additional expense; Advantage #2) it establishes a level of trust between the Client and the MvCaTs Manager; and Advantage #3) it provides MvCaTs the necessary insight to create a more specific Full Service Quote later on. When you first sense an attraction to someone, you don't immediately propose marriage and a long-term commitment. Instead, you ask for a date, an opportunity to get to know them better and explore future potential. How well do we relate? Can we fulfill each others needs? ONSITE SURVEY Some Clients who are facing a complex set of database and software issues will order an Onsite Survey. This includes the following: 1) 5 hours of Database Consultation; 2) 36 hours of Software & Database Evaluation; 3) 4 hours of Software & Database Documentation; 4) 3 hours of Report Preparation & Presentation; 5) 16 hours for Travel Time & 2.5 hours for Daily Commute; and 6) 1 hour of New Client Consultation at no charge.
