SOFTWARE MAINTENANCE AGREEMENTS The oldest reason for doing business is still perhaps the best: Find a need and fill it. Most MultiValue / PICK Software Houses offer a Software Maintenance Agreement (SMA). Some charge as much as $10,000 to $20,000 or more per month to update, patch, and maintain their own vertical software packages on a Client's system. But what about the Proprietary Legacy software which many Clients already own? If their in-house programmer leaves, their consultant is playing hard to get, their software vendor goes out of business, or their current IT staff is backlogged, who will agree to maintain their software then? This is a need which MvCaTs is prepared to fill. Our Long-Term Discount Agreements are like no other. They are designed to support your own Proprietary Legacy software. And the cost is dramatically lower as you will see in the tables below. Our Agreement options put big discounts within the reach of even the smallest companies. For a low Monthly Participation Fee, MvCaTs agrees to have at least one Consultant available 24/7/365 to provide discounted Support via secure Remote Access whenever you need it. You will never be charged our full Remote Rate. And with an SMA in place, we waive the Retainer requirement so whenever you request support, work can begin immediately. This Agreement covers Maintenance of your Proprietary PICK™ / MultiValue Software, support during an emergency, development of new PICK™ / MultiValue Software, and associated Database Maintenance. Immediate help is just a toll-free phone call away at (888) MVTECHS. You may be running a small business without a staff programmer and doing your own system administration on a shoestring budget. We are continually amazed at what some folks can do with duct tape and rubber bands. Or you may be relying on a "Lone Wolf" programmer for MultiValue / PICK software support and asking yourself, "What happens to us if something happens to you?" You may even be that "Lone Wolf", whether full-time or a "contract player", concerned about your position and the company if something happens which would require you to take time off. Or you may produce and maintain vertical software packages and at times have too many projects and not enough programmers. Whatever your needs and budget, we can tailor a low-cost plan that's right for you. The more work you give us per month, the less it costs you per hour.

Terms Each Agreement (SMA) carries a Minimum Term of Six Consecutive Months (not Twelve Months like most companies require). And there is no Maximum Term; the Agreement remains in effect until canceled or replaced. The Participation Fee for a partial beginning or ending month would be prorated if no Service was requested. A Time Billing Statement for the Participation Fee plus any hours of Service rendered would be presented on or about the first day of each month following any full or partial month governed by this pact. Payment in full is due by the 20th day of the billing month but must be received by the end of that month for Service to continue uninterrupted. As with any "insurance" policy, the "premium" is due each month. Any "unused portion" does not "roll over" to the following month. But this "policy" enables you to choose your own Discount Rate based on the hours of support you believe you may need in a month. And with a Software Maintenance Agreement in place, we waive the Retainer requirement so whenever you sign a Service Authorization, work can begin immediately. It's a Win/Win situation for both parties: you get reliable support at a long-term Discount Rate, and MvCaTs gets recurring receivables. If this is the Support Solution you've been seeking, we invite you to call (888) MVTECHS. If outside the continental U.S., call 419-923-0521. Or you could click on the Discount Percent you prefer in the SMA column of either table above and send us an email. Then, we could answer any questions you may have and email a sample one-page Agreement for your review. We hope to hear from you soon. The 88-Hour Challenge (onsite programmer -vs- remote consultant) As a rule, Senior Consultants take less time to arrive at a solution. And it's more likely to be the right one. In a 30-day month, there are typically 22 week days yielding 176 work hours for an onsite programmer employed full-time. We believe an MvCaTs Consultant can achieve the same output in half that time, in other words, in 88 hours (or less). Yes, that’s quite a statement; so we’d like the opportunity to prove it to you. Our standard Remote Rate is $105.00 per hour. But we offer a 10% New Client Discount for the first 100 billable hours in the “getting to know you” phase. During that time, we work at $94.50 per hour while becoming familiar with your system and software. And this gives you a chance to get acquainted with our rapid response, toll-free 24/7/365 support, and high quality deliverables. This discount is good for 90 days after the first Service Authorization is signed. Once this Discount is fully applied or expires, we would like you to consider signing a long-term Software Maintenance Agreement (SMA) to lock in an ongoing discount. To issue an 88-Hour Challenge to us, you would agree to sign your choice of either a Graduated or Level 15% SMA, locking in a 15% ongoing discount. Then you would give us the equivalent of one month of assignments for a full-time programmer. For the next 30 days, we would work at $89.25 per hour. The Challenge ends once we 1) finish the assignments, or 2) reach 88 billable hours, or 3) reach the end of the 30 days. Then you would decide whether we had achieved the goal. If not, the SMA would simply be terminated and you would be billed only for work completed. But if we meet or exceed your expectations, the SMA will remain in effect. And 88 hours of service will no longer be expected. Only the Monthly Participation Fee will be required which includes several hours of service at a 15% discount (see tables above). Still not convinced? Consider the monthly cost of a full-time programmer including salary, matching payroll, vacation pay, sick pay, holiday pay, insurance, 401k match, and other benefits. Compare that cost with $7,854.00 to take the 88-Hour Challenge. Then consider that when one MvCaTs consultant is not available, there are several others ready to step in. And if we prove that we can complete the work in half the time, you get deliverables much faster. Time is money so what are you waiting for? Click here to let us know it's "Game On". If you actually read this page, we'd like to reward you for investing the time. Click here to send us an email and receive a $25.00 Credit Memo, good for ninety days toward any service we offer. (Limit: one per Customer.)
